10/05/2006 - Two new HP videos, a new website... and a serious talk

Apparently our vidders haven't been that much inspired for HP or LOTR lately. But still, we have 2 HP videos added, one by Hannah and the other one by yours truly. However, before I post the link to them, I'd like to say something important.

In spite of the many times I mentioned it on our FAQ page, I've noticed a lot of people have been downloading videos from this website so that they could use them in their own videos. It's been happening to many vidders here, not only me, and it's got to stop. I've said it before, and I will say it again and again 'til it becomes crystal clear to everyone:

DO NOT STEAL CLIPS FROM OTHER PEOPLE'S VIDEOS TO MAKE YOUR OWN

How hard is it for some people to understand that? No matter how many times I've mentioned this, it just seems to be getting worse by the minute, particularly in the HP fandom. I seriously don't know what to do anymore. The first time it happened it was really bad, but I got over it... then it happened again... and again... and again. It's happened over 20 times already, I've lost count! One person can only take so much, I'm sorry.

I'm not gonna quit vidding, I won't stop vidding HP, but if you notice a certain lack of inspiration for it coming from me, I can guarantee that it's not coincidence. I'm tired! I'm physically and mentally exhausted, and some people just don't seem to get it.

I'm not gonna start naming the reasons why it's just wrong. I've done it before. If you wish to have more information on this subject, here's a link: On Vid Clip Theft. This is a post I made on my own Livejournal about clip theft a long time ago. I know a lot of vidders share my thoughts on this too.

I just want this to stop.

 

Now that this discussion is over with, I'd like to announce that my good friend and RTI vidder, Ana, and myself have created a new website:

Behold Perfect Harmony

This is a website for any music videos we make on fandoms that are NOT HP or LOTR. So far we have vids from all sorts of different fandoms, mainly from TV series LOST, House, Stargate Atlantis and Farscape, plus movies like Star Wars, Back to the Future and even The Lion King.

Please, feel free to look around, leave comments, and have fun... And don't forget to leave comments.;)

 

Now I'm having second thoughts about doing this, but anyway: here are the two new videos we have. And if I see one video out there with scenes from either of them, I'm gonna... Well, lets just stay on the safe side and NOT do it, ok?
