Q1: I love your videos! Can I post them at my website?
Yes, you can. But PLEASE keep it at a reasonable level, don't take all of them. Choose only a few of your favorites and remember to link to the page where they're located (not to the file itself!) and to give credit to this site and the vidder who made it.

Q2: What program do you use for editing?
My very first music videos were made using Windows Movie Maker and Windows Movie Maker 2. Later on, when I started needing certain features that the program didn't offer, I went looking for other, more sofisticated programs and found the one I'm using now, Sonic Foundry Video Factory 2.0. And right now I'm feeling soon I'll go program-hunting again.

Q3: I'd love to start making music videos, which program should I use?
There's an infinite number of editing programs around and I certainly don't know not even half of them. However, I do feel that Windows Movie Maker (or "MM", as we vidders like to call it) is a good program for beginners. It's simple and easy to get the hang of. Now, if you're looking for something a bit more professional, then all I can say is that Video Factory
is wonderful and I rec it to everyone, but I don't know others.
I can give one piece of advice, though: Don't start making music videos with a much sofisticated program. It will be a disaster, I can assure you. If you worry too much about the features of the program you'll be blinded to what is most important in creating videos: creativity and style, two things that no program can offer.

Q4: Can I use scenes from your videos in mine?
Absolutely NOT.

Q5: Where can I get scenes to use in music videos?
There are a lot of ways. I don't suggest you go downloading the movies to your computer. As a matter of fact, I think you should avoid doing it at any cost. Not only it's illegal, but the quality of the video itself is... well, definitely very low. There are some websites around that have scenes for you to download, so I suppose you can use those, just ask the webmaster and remember to give them credit.
Here on RTI, though, we get the scenes from the DVD themselves, which is time-consuming, boring, tedious, and something wrong happens all the time, but we get high-quality footage and all the scenes we want to use. That's how you should do it if you have a DVD-ROM on your computer.

Q6: How can I get the scenes from my DVDs to my computer?
Again, there are a lot of ways. VideoHelp.com and DVD-Guides.com are two websites that have many guides to help you doing that. This is the one I use.

Q7: Do you take requests?
I prefer not to, but you never know... I absolutely love to receive suggestions of songs for videos, though, since I'm always song-hunting. I'm very picky, so I may not make the video in the end. But keep those suggestions coming! :)

Q8: Can I PLEASE use your scenes in a vid of mine?
No! Next question?

Q9: Yay! I made a music video! Can you host it on your website?
Yes, we can. I'm always reluctant to accept this, though, 'cause I'm the least organized person on the face of this Earth, and Lenna and I sometimes get too busy to update the site often, so if we get an absurd number of people wanting to join we'll go completely crazy. So if you really, really want to join just be aware that you'll be at the mercy of our free time to update this site (yes, Evil Real Life of Terror always gets in the way!).

Q10: Argh! What happened? Help! I can't access your website!
Me neither! Isn't it wonderful?
Let me see if I got this right, you get this message, eh?:
Sorry, this site is temporarily unavailable!
The web site you are trying to access has exceeded its allocated data transfer. Visit our help area for more information.
Access to this site will be restored within an hour. Please try again later.
That's it, isn't it? Well, this means our bandwidth limit has exceeded. And yes, it happens countless times every single day on this website. It basically means that too many people are trying to access the site at the same time, so with time and patience you just have to do what they say and try again after an hour.
Lenna and I are the most frustrated people on this planet because of this, believe me (We can't access our own website!). Hopefully some day we'll move to a paid server and this problem will be over.

Q11: PLEEEEASE let me use your scenes in a video? I'll give you full credit!
NO! I'm repeating this over and over again on this FAQ so that it's absolutely crystal clear to everyone: You can't take scenes from any of the music videos on this website to use on your own videos.
If you want to know more about this, visit Fade to Black. And if you want to know how I honestly feel about this, read this post on my LJ.
